...and finally we have a winner.  I would have preferred spritely, proof, defy, pips o plenty, but this will work.  It gives 5% defy and 9% proof which is not perfect, but not bad!  I'll be using this pet on my life wizard:

Haley (tower shield card, spritely) hatched with Oliver (Pierce train, pip o plenty, spell proof, spell defying) created Katie (spritely, spell defying, pips o plenty, pierce train) - pedigree of 63
